2010 M-TEK ELEMENTS RANGE

Every stick in the M-Tek collection has a specific performance story. From the inclusion of new materials, to the use of chemically enhanced resins, we have created a series of sticks that give players performance reasons for their purchases.

Some composite materials are brittle in their natural form. Mercian's exclusive production facility has created a resin that is mixed with polyethylene particle. This rubberized material, when applied to the stick creates a top layer that gives enhanced impact protection to the materials, increasing the durability and life span of the stick. The texture of the resin - now seen on the faces of all M-Tek sticks - also allows water to be displaced, allowing more direct contact between ball and stick on the wet surfaces, aiding control.

Mercian have adjusted the balance point of the stick and used a new CB1 19mm mold with an embossed M logo to further increase the hitting power of this popular model.

Constructed from a fibreglass skeleton overlaid with Carbon, Kevlar and Basalt, the STORM has specific strengthening in areas associated with hitting. Advanced material technologies and the success of the Afterburn, Burn and the Great White models have led to the primary performance characteristic of the Air. We have utilised the understood strengths of a fiberglass skeleton, with Carbon, Kevlar and Basalt overlays to create a high specification composite stick with high performance levels and durability. However we have carefully constructed the Air to also have a degree of 'feel' that some players find vital to successful performance. It's not just about how hard you can hit it!

Mercian M-Tek Shafts

All Mercian sticks meet the 25mm bow limit.

M-Tek CB1
The CB1 in the M-Tek collection features a 1mm deeper shaft, allowing for the embossed 'M' logo, but also enhancing stiffness and durability. The mold also allows us to alter the balance points in the M-Tek collection to create specific performance characteristics.

M-Tek CB3
The late bend 25mm shaft is rapidly becoming a favourite shape. Perfect for drag-flicking, with an even balance for good 'turn-over' for open and reverse stick skills. The CB3 is not too aggressive, so is manageable for most players to aid flicking whilst also allowing them to execute everyday skills. This popular CB3 is available in the M-Tek collection, with an embossed 'M' - see the Lava for details!

M-Tek CB5
A smooth 25mm bend stick with a larger cross section to increase stiffness and durability. With different balance points, the two sticks available in this mould - the Air and Fire - offer significantly different performance characteristics. The embossed 'M' logo simply serves to enhance the look of this new shape, whilst the maximum bend helps aerials and flicking without detracting from the game's other skill requirements.
